TheBushSewer-I just did a find people search for "etsy" and just started clicking the follow buttons. most people will follow back I don't know if any of my sales have come from it but I do know that when I tweet about a new listing my views go up pretty quick and that's half the battle. Getting people to look at your stuff is great exposure. I also just search for people in my area, like I type in Las Vegas. I get people following me daily, oh and make sure that somewhere in your twitter information that you link yourself to Etsy, it helps people find you.

I agree that using Twitter to post new listings helps. There are two neat programs that help me a lot. The first is Twitterfeed. I set it up to automatically tweet new listings and new blog posts. The other is Twitpic. You can tweet pictures that show up as an attachment to the tweet.

Hi everyone,
Here is a blog that will be featuring 10 items from 10 different etsy shops that are for $10 or less, every Tuesday.
She's great at cross promoting. For consideration, you just need to follow her blog and post a comment with a link to any item you have that is $10 or less (not including shipping).

Here is a tip I discovered this morning, (some may already know this):
Add #myetsy to a tweet that contains a link to one your favorite etsy shop items. My understanding is that it may then be listed in an Etsy gift guide here---
happy sales, everyone,

I am new, challenged, and eternally optimistic. I am willing to learn while intimidated by my 10 year old computer. So I know that what I learn here will help me and as I learn I will try to pay it forward. Someone told me to try free classifieds like Craigs list. I am one who believe that making Etsy well known helps us all so I give out cards with my shop info.

I am also a new member to this team. I have registered on twitter and am not real sure about how to use it. For the
second time since I joined two days ago I was told that twitter was on overload. Are there certain times of the day
that it is better to use twitter than others? I learn most thing by trial and error and if I can't try, I'll never learn. Please
help me. Also I am on facebook. The best way that I tell people to reach me by the computer is:

I am not sure about the twitter overload. Curious to hear if other have. I use Twitter mostly at night and have no problems. I usually use it through TweetDeck so I don't know if that makes a difference.
